Recommended Configuration
Table below provides the recommended computer configuration to run the OrthoChrome™ software.
Hardware |
CPU 6+ Cores (i9-8xxx, i7-9xxx, i5-10xxx, or higher), 16 GByte RAM - OC Pro uses highly parallelized algorithms and the more CPU cores are available the faster it will respond (compute), dual core CPU's are Not sufficient to handle the computational load. If you are using a desktop, it is highly recommended to have a CPU with 8 Cores or even more. |
Graphics |
QHD (2560x1440), WQXGA (2560x1600), 4K UHD (3840x2160) or 8k FUHD (7680x4320) - OC Pro can be scaled to any screen resolution, however, resolutions below HD (1920x1080) are Not reasonable to work efficiently. |
Operating System |
Windows 10 (64 bit) with .NET 4.8 (or later) - .NET 4.8 framework is part of the Windows 10 if updated to current version, - OC Pro is a 64 bit software and runs exclusively on 64 bit Windows systems (32 bit versions of Windows are Not able to start the software). |
Minimum Configuration
The table below provides computer configuration absolutely required to run the OrthoChrome™ software OC Pro, further reduction of the resources might render the software unusable.
Hardware |
i7 CPU, 4 Cores, 8 GByte RAM |
Graphics | HD (1920x1080) |
Operating System | Windows 10 64 bit with .NET 4.8 |
Download
Click here to download the installer file Or click 'Download' button at left. In the download screen as shown below, use the 'Save' button at bottom of the screen to select the down load folder.
In case you do Not have the 'Save' button, make the internet browser window wider. The download dialog will scale with the browser window and the 'Save' button becomes visible.
Installation
Run the downloaded OrthoChromeYYYYMMDD.msi file and follow the dialog instructions.
Note: All OC users must have 'Write' permission for the OrthoChrome application folder.
The 'Program Files' folder is a system folder and usually requires specific assignment of 'Write' permission.
License
When started the first time, the OrthoChrome will generate the license request data and shows the location of the license request file in a dialog as shown below.
OrthoChrome starts automatically the Windows File Explorer and selects the license request file 'LicenseRequest_xxx.txt' (file extension might be hidden depending on the setting of your file browser).
Email the license request file 'LicenseRequest_xxx.txt' to
andremicke@orthochromic.com
to receive your license key.
Copy the key file 'License_xxx.txt' to the OrthoChrome application folder (this is the folder you copied 'LicenseRequest_xxx.txt' file from, by default 'C:\Ortho Chrome 2018\').
This completes the installation.
OC Pro Startup
By default the startup screen of OrthoChrome Pro looks as shown below.
If a default start should be enforced, either
- delete the configurstion file 'Default.ini' and 'Default.bin'
or
- keep the 'Ctrl' pressed when starting OrthoChrome (starts OC in safe mode, i.e. configuration and document files are ignored).
Reinstallation
First Deinstall OrthoChrome Pro using Windows 'Control Panel'. OR 'Apps and Features' Do NOT remove the (old) OC Pro installation folder - it holds your data and your license! Follow the OC Pro installation procedure.
